I assessed the best use of a CBD site and developed a schematic design and feasibility for a mixed-use residential tower that exceeded the developer’s return target.

• Tested uses against planning controls, market conditions and financial feasibility
• Checked the design against the NCC for building class, fire resistance, exits and access
• Costed it from Rawlinsons rates and built an Excel model to recommend a maximum site purchase price

A study of why risk management models often fall short on real projects, using cases such as Opal Tower, the Boston Big Dig and Infrastructure Australia.

I modified a residential model, ran energy and solar analysis, and produced a floor material schedule with quantities and costs.

I modelled and analysed retrofitted joints in STAAD.Pro and ANSYS and checked the designs against IS 456 and IS 13920.
